Mulan, that is not unusual. We tend to expect certain outcomes based on experience and situations. If you apply for a job, you expect them to call you. We don't notice all the times it wasn't HR, just the time it was. If your friend tends to call at 4pm, you will expect it to be your friend. If it isn't, you will be surprised - but will soon forget this inaccurate prediction. If you think about something, you have an expectation - and that expectation will be fullfilled when they contact you.
An interesting experiment: Keep a pen and paper next to the phone. Whenever the phone rings, think about who it might be, and after you answer, write down whether you were right or not. After you get enough calls, you'll be able to see just how "often" you are right. :D
Extra credit: Write down your prediction, the time, and who it turns out to be.

Qcmbr, on July 14, 1832, Congress passed a tariff act that South Carolina declared null and void. President Andrew Jackson put the U.S. army on alert and the United States expected war in 1832. D. & C. 87 (where the prophecy is made) is dated December 25, 1832. Almost 20 years later, there were again rumors of a civil war brewing, and the LDS Church revived this prophecy. Anybody living in that time period, if told a civil war was coming, would not have been impressed.
Further, it was prophecied "And the time will come that war will be poured out upon all nations, beginning at this place. For behold, the Southern States shall be divided against the Northern States, and the Southern States will call on other nations, even the nation of Great Britain, as it is called, and they shall also call upon other nations, in order to defend themselves against other nations; and then war shall be poured out upon all nations." But war did NOT "pour out upon all nations". -

I haven't been able to narrow it down, but it had to occur between 1907 and the 1930s.

To say it works, or doesn't work, would be misleading. The problems people have that lead them to seek help are not usually ones that can be cured, but rather they can be treated. If you don't feel you are making progress with your therapy, bring this up to your therapist.

Not in the Kingdom Hall, but when homework and preparing for the meetings were clashing, I had a panic attack in school in front of my class when I tried to give a presentation.

Earthquake in the Middle East (Urgent)
by EliJah in19 and the great city split into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell; and babylon the great was remembered in the sight of god, to give her the cup of the wine of the anger of his wrath.
20 also, every island fled, and mountains were not found.
21 and a great hail with every stone about the weight of a talent descended out of heaven upon the men, and the men blasphemed god due to the plague of hail, because the plague of it was unusually great.. meaning: the nations are of the twelve tribes of israel in the middle east.

EliJah: NOT A SINGLE FORM OF LIFE WILL DIE AT THE HAND OF "ALMIGHTY JAH" AND "JESUS CHRIST".
Then who is going to kill all those non-saved people? -

Can true Christianity have some false prophets and still be true Christians
by booker-t ini know this sounds like a "totally" stupid question and i don't mean to offend religious people but i was talking to two jw's elders the other day at my apartment.
they came by even though they know i am disassocated and don't want to go back to the wt.
they think they can convince me that they are the truth and i would go back.

Qcmbr: If your bible interpretation is so plain and easy to follow how come there are thousands of denominations who disagree on basic scriptures?
There are two reasons. One is that they do not differ on essential doctrines - that which make them Christian - but only on the nonessential ones. The Bible _allows_ us to disagree on these nonessential points. The "denominations" that disagree with essential Christian doctrine cannot be Christian. I'll leave finding these essential doctrines as an excersize for the reader, lest someone get the impression that I'm attacking their own faith. :D
The other explanation is human failure. But our salvation or damnation does not depend on our differences, but on our relationship with Christ.
I find it amusing that you'd use a Catholic anti-Protestant argument. I find it equally amusing that the same argument can be applied to Mormonism, of which the LDS Church is only one denomination. (The argument also applies to Catholocism, of course.) -
